‘Empire Bridges’, the 11 song collection from Joseph Parsons, released January 31, 2014 in partnership with Meer Music & Blue Rose Records, both of Germany. The self produced ‘Empire Bridges’ was recorded in Hilden, Germany and in Parsons’ remote cabin by the Steinhüder Meer in Northern Germany.

Part of the song cycle examines a world increasingly defined by empires, both political and corporate, in which the individual feels reduced and powerless in shaping their own lives and their society. It’s harder to find leaders who not only speak the truth, but seek it. The album reflects this formidable challenge with big powerful rock songs like ‘Live Like The King’ that cut to the heart of the matter. The opening song, ‘Seek The Truth’ asks “Are we going to change the world? Are we going to take it back?” echoing the Occupy Wall Street movement and issuing a call to arms right from the start!

'Empire Bridges', das 11-Track-Album von Joseph Parsons, wurde am 31. Januar 2014 in Zusammenarbeit mit den deutschen Labels Meer Music & Blue Rose Records veröffentlicht. Das neue Werk in Hilden und das abgelegene Haus von Parsons am Steinhuder Meer in Norddeutschland wurden aufgenommen und produziert.

Ein Teil der Songs beleuchtet eine Welt, die zunehmend von Imperien definiert wird, sowohl auf politischer als auch auf gesellschaftlicher Ebene. Der Einzelne fühlt sich abgewertet und machtlos in der Gestaltung seines eigenen Lebens und der Gesellschaft, in der er Leben will. Es ist schwieriger geworden, Führungskräfte zur finden, die nicht nur die Wahrheit sagen sondern sich auch bemühen sie zu finden. Das Album spiegelt diese gewaltige Herausforderung mit großen kraftvollen Rock-Songs wie 'Live Like The King' wieder. Ein Stück, das diese Thematik auf den Punkt bringt. Der Opener, 'Seek The Truth' stellt die Frage: „Wollen wir die Welt verändern? Werden wir sie uns zurück holen?“ Ein Wiederhall der Occupy Wall Street-Bewegung und ein Aufruf zu den Waffen, von Anfang an!
